Brief; to liaise with site teams and Local Authority to ensure build quality to Grade 2 Listed Hospital, within the Conservation area of Bow, London, during its conversion to luxury Flats.
A&P were instructed to attend site for two days a week, to conduct condition and build quality assessment of the ongoing, extensive structural repairs being undertaken to convert the semi derelict Listed Hospital Building into Luxury Flats and Building of Communal Usage.
The focus was the John Denham building, a building of significant Local and Historical note, the decorative ceiling of which sat directly beneath the intricate roof structure which had suffered damage during World War 2 from bombing, and as such subsequent poor repairs had allowed extensive rot- resulting is the complex part replacement and sequential repair.
A&P carried out multiple inspections a day, and coordinated the attendance of Structural Engineers, Project Architects and Listed Building and Council Planning experts. Offering design and repair solution by way of site sketches circulated to all relevant Consultants for faster confirmation and approval, to enable faster agreement and pace of building
The Project was a significant success, and sits now as a building perfectly able to last another 200 years.
