CDM – Construction Design Management Roles and Responsibilities

Should you decide to cease works part way through the project, our responsibility as the Principal Designer will pass to yourself or your chosen Principal Contractor (Builder).
Planning & Design
- Initial enquiry and visit.
- Letter of summary and estimate of fees
- Pre-planning discussions to establish an optimised proposal
- Instruction and full measured and photographic survey
- Feasibility Studies, sketch schemes and photoshop illustrations
- Relevant Planning Applications and Administration
- CIL documentation where necessary
- Planning Condition resolution – assistance with Flood Risk, BNG, Ecology and Arboriculture light studies and parking.
Building Control Specification and Engineering
- Approval and Building Control assessment and estimate
- Production of the Building Control specification drawings
- Consultant Engineer estimate and instruction
- Inclusion of Engineers’ details to specification drawings
- Building Control Applications and Administration
- Public Sewer Advice and Diversion Applications including liaison with the relevant Water Authority where applicable
- Site Support, quality and construction compliance checking
- Site attendance and sign off
